Fake Words Generator
This tool generates gibberish text based on the supplied consonants and vowels, and other settings.
This tool is especially useful if you want to incorporate a fictional language into your story, but don't have the time/patience/skill to create a proper conlang. However, onlangers can also benefit from this tool if they are running ut of creativity in terms of new vocabulary.
Currently, the words have a fixed syllable structure: (C)(C)V(C). This means that every syllable must have a vowel, and there is a random chance that it will contain a consonant (or two) on either side of the vowel.
Since I had other priorities during the jam, and because of my limited experience with javascript, the end result is not as advanced as it could have been. There are several features I would like to add eventually:
- Give the user full control over the syllable structure
- Allow the user to customize letter categories (i.e. subdivide consonants into voiced and voiceless consonants, or adding diphthongs, etc)
- Add periods and capitalize the first letter of the words at the start of sentences. This will make the text look more like real text, instead of a long string of words
